ERM Boot Camp Webinar – On Demand
This enterprise risk management (ERM) webinar aims to provide viewers with practical, hands-on approaches to ERM implementation. The concepts and tools presented will help the traditional risk manager turn the corner in launching a process that aligns risk management efforts with the organization's overall strategic goals. Julie Pemberton, Manager Enterprise Risk Management, Chiquita Brands International, Inc. and Ruth Unks, Risk Manager, Maricopa County Community College District, will provide an introduction to ERM and practical examples for implementation from their own organizations.
This webinar, which is 45 minutes in length, provides contact information for each presenter in case you have questions. This session is hosted by the RIMS Enterprise Risk Management Development Committee.

Julie Pemberton
Julie Pemberton, Manager Enterprise Risk Management, Chiquita Brands International, Inc. Julie is responsible for development and execution of Chiquita's enterprise risk management process that identifies opportunities to improve performance by reducing, better managing, and better anticipating global risk exposures thereby creating / protecting shareholder value. In addition, she is responsible for the program design and placement of Chiquita’s worldwide insurance coverage including executive risks, property/cargo, marine/casualty, and aviation. Ms. Pemberton, a graduate of Thomas More College in Northern Kentucky. She has been an active member of the Risk and Insurance Management Society since 2000 and has served on its Enterprise Risk Development Committee since 2006.
Ruth Unks
Ruth Unks, Risk Manager, Maricopa County Community College District Since 1999, Ruth A. Unks, ARM has been risk manager for the Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD), the largest community college district in the United States, with ten colleges, two skill centers, two charter high schools, and a district office. She has a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Eastern Michigan University. Ruth has served on the Public Risk Management Association’s (PRIMA) National Board of Directors for six years including one year as president and two years as past president.
