Julie is responsible for development and execution of Chiquita's enterprise risk management process that identifies opportunities to improve performance by reducing, better managing, and better anticipating global risk exposures thereby creating / protecting shareholder value. In addition, she is responsible for the program design and placement of Chiquita’s worldwide insurance coverage including executive risks, property/cargo, marine/casualty, and aviation. Ms. Pemberton, a graduate of Thomas More College in Northern Kentucky. She has been an active member of the Risk and Insurance Management Society since 2000 and has served on its Enterprise Risk Development Committee since 2006.

Ruth Unks
Ruth Unks, Risk Manager, Maricopa County Community College District
Since 1999, Ruth A. Unks, ARM has been risk manager for the Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD), the largest community college district in the United States, with ten colleges, two skill centers, two charter high schools, and a district office. She has a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Eastern Michigan University. Ruth has served on the Public Risk Management Association’s (PRIMA) National Board of Directors for six years including one year as president and two years as past president.
